It was discovered by Kepler spacecraft in December 2011, it was launched in 2009 on the mission of finding planets outside our solar system which are known as exoplanets. The discovery of Kepler-22b was announced after more than a year of observation and analysis of data from the spacecraft. The planet was detected by using the transit method it involves measuring the small decrease in the brightness of a star which occurs when a planet passes in front of it. Kepler-22b orbits a star called Kepler-22, Kepler-22b is known as a super-Earth, it means that it has a radius that is larger than Earth's but smaller than Neptune's. It is believed that its radius is 2.4 times that of Earth, and its mass is considered to be almost 35 times that of Earth. The planet orbits its star at a distance of almost 85 million miles (137 million kilometers) that i

History of cricket bats

The earliest cricket bat used was in 1620 AD,when batsman hit the fielders with the bat to stop them from catching the ball. It    started taking a rectangular form in the late 1700's and early 1800's.The laws had by then changed and bowlers were allowed to roll their arms over like they do in modern cricket. In 1771 a player named shock white played with a bat as wide as the wicket. In 1820's lighter cricket bats were introduced and from 1870's bats were made according to mcc regulations. In 1900's new manufacturing material for bats was introduced named sap wood.

First shoulderless bats were introduced in 1960's from salazenger.

Double sided bats were first introduced in 1970's from warsop stebbing and first GN100 scoop was released in 1974.
In 1979 Dennis Lillee used a combat aluminum metal bat.
