A comparison of kepler-22b and earth Kepler-22b is an exoplanet located about 600 light-years away from Earth in the constellation Cygnus. It was discovered by Kepler spacecraft in December 2011, it was launched in 2009 on the mission of finding planets outside our solar system which are known as exoplanets. The discovery of Kepler-22b was announced after more than a year of observation and analysis of data from the spacecraft. The planet was detected by using the transit method it involves measuring the small decrease in the brightness of a star which occurs when a planet passes in front of it. Kepler-22b orbits a star called Kepler-22, Kepler-22b is known as a super-Earth, it means that it has a radius that is larger than Earth's but smaller than Neptune's. It is believed that its radius is 2.4 times that of Earth, and its mass is considered to be almost 35 times that of Earth. James Webb Space Telescope(JWST)

 

James Webb telescope 
James webb space telescope (JWST) was launched on December 25, 2021.It sent it's first pictures in 2022.It is approximately 15 lakh kilometers from earth. According to NASA it takes just five seconds for data to reach earth from the telescope which is then directed to the mission centers.

Carina nebula 
Carina nebula is nicknamed as the cosmic cliffs.This picture looks like “mountains” and “valleys” with beautiful stars but actually it is the edge of a young, star-forming region called NGC 3324 in the Carina nebula.
Stephan's Quintet 
It is a  group of five galaxies which is mostly known for being featured in a holiday film, “It’s a Wonderful Life.”
Southern Ring Nebula
Two cameras on james Webb captured the recent image of this nebula which is known as the Southern Ring Nebula. This nebula is almost 2,500 light-years away from earth.
The detailed images that James webb have delivered are among the most breathtaking pictures taken by any telescope.The James Webb telescope is about 100 times more sensitive than it's 30 year old predecessor the Hubble space telescope it's mirror is around 25 square meter.It is made up of 18 hexagonal segments coated with just 48 grams of vaporized gold that reflects infrared light.The body of mirror is made of beryllium(a very light metal that can hold it's form even in extreme cold). The main mirror collects light and reflects it onto a smaller mirror which focuses the light to the telescope's measuring instruments.
No wonder that James Webb is a brilliant telescope.For now this wonderful telescope is young and hopefully it will give us more wonderful results in the future.
